MenBefore the 1920s, men always wore some kind of three piece suit. Younger men changed their outfits to simpler suits with unpadded jackets and brighter colors. For work, however, they still wore suits, but they were less broad than they had previously been and bow ties and neck ties became more causal.

WomenDuring this time period women dressed in a very recognizable fashion. This earned them the name 'Flapper.' The cut there hair to shoulder length and usually had their dresses to their knees. They also wore considerately more makeup than they did before. This may be because women just earned their right to vote and this was some sort of celebration
